The National Support and Resource Line is for people who have seen our media advertising communications and have questions or concerns about mental health. The freephone is advertised during campaigns to ensure people have immediate access to information, advice and support to seek assistance if they need it.

The freephone will assist you to:
- understand stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness so they can behave in non discriminatory ways
- recognise symptoms of mental illnesses in themselves and others
- seek appropriate help - particularly at an early stage
- find out about effective interventions, including self help strategies.
NB: The freephone is not a mental health triage service for people who are unwell, but has the ability to identify callers in need of referral to a mental health or other service.
